Matt Simon is a senior research analyst within Aite Group’s Institutional Securities & Investment group and is based out of New York City. His work is focused on providing cutting-edge research and consulting for financial institutions within the capital markets. Mr. Simon’s areas of expertise include front-office technological developments, industry trends, and market structure analysis as well as the impact of financial regulations.

Mr. Simon brings to Aite Group over 18 years of experience in the capital markets. Before joining Aite Group, he was the head of strategy for Markets Media Group, where he worked with industry executives and internal senior staff to provide strategic direction for the company and its clients’ publishing and marketing initiatives. Mr. Simon also served as a principal member of TABB Group from 2005 to 2018, where he spent much of his tenure as a senior research analyst for the company. He eventually became the global co-head of derivatives research at TABB Group, and he then served as the global head of the Consulting and Advisory Service practice and was responsible for oversight of the division and deliverables to leading financial institutions. Over the course of his career, Mr. Simon has been quoted extensively in the media and has also presented at a number of industry conferences.

Mr. Simon started his career with T. Rowe Price Associates in Baltimore, Maryland, where he worked with senior portfolio managers, institutional clients and internal staff in operations, trading, and compliance. Mr. Simon has a Master of Business Administration from Fordham University as well as a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Maryland.
