Meghna Mukerjee is a senior analyst on the Wealth Management team writing about market trends as well as regulatory and digital shifts impacting wealth managers, private banks, independent asset managers, and family offices across Europe and the Asia-Pacific. She has a specific focus on regulations such as Markets in Financial Instruments Directive II (MiFID II), the Second Payment Services Directive (PSD2), and the Common Reporting Standard (CRS), and she also writes about private banking business models and market opportunities.
Most recently, Ms. Mukerjee was the global editor of Private Banker International magazine, covering a wide variety of topics, such as competitive intelligence and benchmarking, client and advisor insight, intergenerational wealth transfer, segmentation, strategic due diligence, and compliance. She also regularly chaired industry roundtables and panel discussions, and delivered bespoke research projects. Prior to this role, Ms. Mukerjee was a private banking analyst and editor based in Singapore for Timetric, working with industry participants across the Asia-Pacific region to deliver insightful research and data.
Drawing on a strong background in journalism, having worked for national dailies both in India and the U.K., Ms. Mukerjee has published work in New Statesman, The Daily Telegraph, and The Sunday Times. She has a MA in International Journalism from Cardiff University in the U.K. and a post-graduate diploma from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) in India.
