Rogier Kamerling is the Treasurer and Senior Vice President of Atlantic Capital Bank. In his current role Rogier is responsible for: the bank’s economic outlook, managing the bank’s liquidity position, the investment portfolio, funding, capital planning and the bank’s balance sheet strategies.

Prior to joining Atlantic Capital, Rogier served as Chief Economist and strategist of M&I Bank’s capital market division in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In that role, he managed a team of analysts to support sales and trading, and gave direction to the economic foundation of the overall strategy for the bank.  

Rogier holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a Master of Finance and Economics from the University of Amsterdam. He received his PhD in Economics with honors, with a strong focus on financial economics and banking, from the University of Utah.  He also taught classes at the undergraduate and graduate levels including Micro/Macro Economics, statistics and Money & Banking.
