Julia Roper is Chief Operating Officer for iptiQ by Swiss Re and has more than 30 years of experience in multiple facets of the life and health insurance industry, including operations, underwriting, call center management, customer service, product design and implementation, business development, distribution management, risk management and compliance. In her current role, she is leading teams in creating a risk-tech company that provides end-to-end insurance solutions focused on the Middle Market. Together they have built a cutting edge digital insurance platform, world-class underwriting capabilities, and high-value products.

Prior to joining iptiQ Americas, Ms. Roper served as the Chief Operating Officer for AccuQuote, a nationwide direct to consumer brokerage agency offering life and health products.

Her prior experience includes the Chief Operating Officer role at Heritage Union where she led the design and implementation of product agnostic end-to-end solution from point of sale through automated underwriting decision; including electronic and voice signature process for on-line and call center environments. She also served as President of the Life Insurance Company and an appointed member of the Board of Directors. In her earlier career, Ms. Roper held officer positions at North American Company for Life and Health and CNA Insurance Company.

Ms. Roper has a BA from DePaul University and an MBA from Loyola University. Ms. Roper also holds the professional designations of CLU and ChFC from the American College and LLIF from Wharton School of Business and LIMRA International.
