Larry Perino is the manager for Program Development in the Business Solutions Division for Navy Federal Credit Union. He has worked for Navy Federal for over four years, first as a project manager, responsible for Navy’s nCino implementation before assuming his role as a manager, responsible for Navy Federal’s nCino program, vendor management, and project/analytics for Business Solutions.
Prior to joining Navy Federal, Larry served in the United States Army retiring as a Colonel. During his military career, Larry served in key positions within multi-national, joint, conventional, training, and special operations commands. Larry’s experiences range from conventional to special operations, with operational assignments at all levels, from tactical to strategic.
In 1993, while serving with the Ranger Regiment as a platoon leader, he deployed to Somalia as part of Task Force Ranger. His unit’s actions during this deployment were depicted in the book/movie “Black Hawk Down.”
Colonel (ret) Perino served in multiple overseas and hostile fire areas during his career. Some of his awards and decorations include the Bronze Star with “V” device for Valor, Legion of Merit, Combat Infantryman’s Badge (with Star), Master Parachutist Badge, Freefall Badge, and Ranger Tab. In 1993, Larry was a recipient of the General Douglas MacArthur Leadership Award. Colonel (Ret) Perino retired from active duty in January 2015 after almost 25 years of service.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy, a Master of Business Administration degree from American Military University, and a master’s degree in strategic studies from the Air War College. He is a certified National Credit Union Compliance Officer (NCCO) and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
