As the CIO / VP of Information Technology at Purdue Federal Credit Union, Matthew Lerzak is a visionary technology executive with a proven ability to bring the benefits of IT to solve business issues while managing costs and risks. The CU is executing on a comprehensive digital transformation roadmap to provide an industry leading member experience, and drive efficiencies into all aspects of the business. Matt has been instrumental in driving this change program that enables the CU to scale operations, reduce duplicated / manual processes, and most importantly, creating world class digital experiences and solutions for members.

Lerzak brings broad & deep technical experience built over 30 years in architecture, IT infrastructure, data analytics, operations, leading cross‐functional teams, innovation, process improvement, payment systems, core banking systems, cloud services, cyber security, user experience, enterprise project management and credit union operations. He is passionate about mentoring and building teams to create future leaders and a sustainable culture. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, Matt has been successful in building strong executive relationships both internally and externally, capable of quickly gaining the trust and confidence of the Board of Directors and all stakeholders.

Lerzak was promoted to Practice Team Lead for Database and Application Services at Forsythe, where he successfully led a team of consultants to develop and deliver strategic solutions. He utilized new technologies with minimal impact to client production environments to meet or exceed business requirements which resulted in industry leading best practices.

As a Regional Solutions Lead at Forsythe, Matthew Lerzak managed the solutions architects and client engagements within the Midwest region. Under Lerzak's direction, the Forsythe team provided technical solutions to clients, architecting and delivering highly complex IT solutions to solve today’s business issues. Mr. Lerzak utilized proven technology solutions, industry recognized best practices, and gained a reputation for being resourceful and results‐driven.

While at Forsythe, Lerzak was a member of the Integrated Solutions Group, providing advisory and enterprise architecture services to clients to solve business issues utilizing technology. Prior to his ISG position at Forsythe, he supported the Forsythe’s server‐related professional services offerings including high‐availability clustering, backup and recovery design, application and database performance optimization, as well as, architecture for complex application and database environments and scalable computing environments. Lerzak’s experience includes more than 21 years as an IT professional consultant, working with a wide range of organizations across multiple industries including: manufacturing, engineering design, retail, banking, financial services, consumer products, and computer technology.

Prior to his tenure with Forsythe, Lerzak served as lead system administrator at Electronic Data Systems (EDS), where he architected and deployed highly‐available computer infrastructures, backup and recovery solutions, and systems management operations for customers world‐wide, including a General Motors subsidiary with locations in the United Kingdom, Singapore, Mexico, and Germany. Before joining EDS, Lerzak gained valuable experience assisting with process engineering at IBM in Burlington, VT. He began his career at a small consultancy providing environmental engineering services for customers throughout the country.

Lerzak earned his bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN.
