Sophie Schmitt is a senior analyst on Aite Group's Wealth Management team, covering the convergence of banking, payment and investment solutions, client onboarding, financial wellness, and digital wealth management.

Ms. Schmitt is returning to Aite Group after running a sustainability program sponsored by the City of Cambridge and a consortium of Boston-area workplaces. Prior to working for Aite Group, Ms. Schmitt worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where she worked on a number of advice and guidance initiatives and on the implementation of a best-practice sales process in the financial advisor channel. This involved rolling out a training program for financial advisors and their managers, building and supporting referral processes, and guiding front-office technology enhancement projects.

Prior to her experience at Bank of America, Ms. Schmitt was a research analyst with Financial Insights, an IDC Company. She has also worked in Product Management for Doubleclick Inc. (now part of Google) and in Mergers & Acquisitions for Chase Securities Inc. (now J.P. Morgan Chase). She has been quoted widely in the press, in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, American Banker, and The Boston Globe.

Ms. Schmitt holds an M.B.A. with a concentration in IT and Change Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management, and a B.A. in Public Policy Studies and Economics from Duke University. She speaks fluent French.
