William Whitt is a Strategic Advisor on Aite-Novarica’s Wealth Management team, covering active trading, digital wealth management, electronic trading, fee-based business and separately managed accounts, listed and OTC derivatives, market structure, practice management, and retail clearing and custody.

Most recently, William was a Senior Director at CME Group, where he headed the pricing team and oversaw all fee initiatives and incentive programs for the firm’s futures exchanges, OTC clearing business, and market data business. Previous to that, William served as CME’s Head of Business Strategy and Planning.

Prior to his service at CME Group, William worked at Northern Trust in a variety of roles. While there, he led development of Northern’s proprietary Goals Powered Solutions software and oversaw the implementation of the goals-based investment approach for the firm’s investment and sales professionals. In earlier roles at Northern Trust, William served as Deputy Head and Chief Operations Officer of the wealth advisory business and Head of Strategic Planning for the private bank.

William's other professional experience includes several years at Corporate Executive Board (now Gartner), where he led the corporate treasury, investor relations, and wealth management practices. While at Corporate Executive Board, he led numerous studies on the wealth management sector and developed a highly successful and innovative quantitative research program.

William holds Ph.D. and B.A. degrees from Duke University, and an MTS degree from Harvard Divinity School.
