Michelle Morris is an Executive Director and Head of Business Development – Diverse Asset Managers in Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Investment Solutions. Previously Michelle was a member of the Product Development team in the Alternative Investments group, where she led the Alternative Investments Education initiative. Michelle’s experience includes providing guidance regarding Alternative Investments portfolio construction to Financial Advisors and their clients and facilitating business development across private equity, venture capital, private credit, private real estate and infrastructure. Michelle previously was a senior investment due diligence analyst in the Global Investment Manager Analysis group, where she was responsible for the evaluation and selection of investment managers and private market funds for Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Management platform. She also worked with the Morgan Stanley Global Sustainable Finance Group and conducted investment due diligence on behalf of the firm’s Investing with Impact platform.

Michelle has extensive business development experience in the asset management industry, with a focus on public and corporate pension plans, endowments and foundations. Michelle was a member of the institutional sales team of Morgan Stanley Investment Management and was responsible for business development of traditional and alternative investments sponsored by Morgan Stanley. Michelle also was a member of the Investment Team of the Morgan Stanley Emerging Managers Fund in Morgan Stanley Investment Management and was responsible for evaluating investment strategies for the emerging managers platform and raising capital for the fund.

Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Michelle held various positions at Citigroup in corporate M&A, private equity fundraising, institutional investment management sales and municipal finance banking. Michelle received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. She holds Series 24, 7 and 63 FINRA licenses. Michelle is a Global Association Board member of 100 Women in Finance and a board member of Brightpoint Care, a subsidiary of Sun River Health.
