Francisco Alvarez-Evangelista is an Advisor in Aite-Novarica’s Retail Banking & Payments practice. Francisco covers prepaid, debit, challenger banks, and other alternative banking products.
Francisco has several years of experience in the financial services sector, primarily in anti-money laundering compliance and business development roles in banking. Prior to joining Aite-Novarica, Francisco was a sales analyst for one of the largest prepaid issuing banks in the country, where he conducted lead vetting, operations support, proposal writing, program manager implementations, and other strategic functions across the extensive payments landscape. He also co-founded the bank’s diversity and inclusion employee-resource group and led it for two years.
Francisco has been quoted across various industry publications, including American Banker, NerdWallet, MarketWatch, Mobile Payments Today, and Banking Dive. Francisco graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History from South Dakota State University at 19. He was a member of the Phi Alpha Theta Honors Society and received the Schultz-Werth Award, SDSU’s highest undergraduate research recognition.
